Bob Rue - ADDY Awards

The ADDY Awards is the world's largest advertising competition with over 50,000 entries annually. Founded in Florida in 1960 it was adopted by the American Advertising Federation, a not-for-profit industry association, as a national competition in 1968.

The ADDY Awards is unique among other advertising creative competitions in that it is the only competition that includes three levels of judging: local, regional, and national. Winning an ADDY at each level qualifies the work to progress to the next higher level.

Headline 1:
Getting Started

It would never have occurred to me that a natural progression from voice talent and actor would be to act as an emcee, but that’s just what happened. The President of North Phoenix Chamber of Commerce inquired as to my interest and availability to act as master of ceremonies at their annual awards luncheon. Since that time, requests have come in from a variety of civic, professional, non-profit, and corporate organizations seeking a host for their program.

Master of Ceremonies

Emcee opportunities have included Voices Take Flight, the Smiles For Success Gala, three Media Communications Association Awards dinners, the 12th Annual Sandra Day O’Connor Awards Luncheon, U-Mom, the past two Phoenix Addy Awards, and most recently the 2010 Arizona Ms. U.S.A. Pageant. In addition, several organizations have selected me as their “voice host” to provide a narrated program. They include the past four ACEC Awards, two earlier Addy Awards programs, The ASU Visionary Awards, the 2010 Peter Piper Pizza Awards Banquet, and the 2010 Scottsdale Hall of Fame Award. So whether your organization is looking for a live, energetic and enthusiatic host, or a voice that moves the program, we should talk!
