The AAF is a national organization with a mission to better the advertising industry, recognize the best in advertising, and inform and educate advertising professionals. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., it is the trade association that represents 50,000 professionals in the advertising industry. AAF's 130 corporate members are advertisers, agencies and media companies that comprise the nation's leading brands and corporations.


IFP/PHX
Independent Feature Project/Phoenix

In 2006, the Phoenix Film Project became a chapter of the prestigious Independent Feature Project (IFP) and was re-named IFP/PHX. With its original goals of creating a thriving independent filmmaking community in Arizona, the creation of IFP/PHX adds national benefits and exposure to its members. Education, discounts, networking and exhibition opportunities are staples on the calendar of events.


Phoenix Film Festival

The week-long film festival showcases multiple film screenings per day and kicks off with a cocktail party and opening night party April 2. World premieres of the films "500 Days of Summer," "Official Rejection," and "The Merry Gentleman" are special to the festival. Guest appearances include Virginia Madsen for the screening of her documentary "I Know a Woman Like That," Bill Engvall for a screening of his new short film "Cowboy Dreams" and Johnathon Schaech for his new film "The Poker Club." The festival ends with a "Calling it a Wrap" closing night party held Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
